Calahoo Meats started in 1973 as a small Metis owned business, with the five Berube brothers, Moe, Felix, Wilfred, Roger, Emile, along with their friend Pete Turner.
They operated in an one room shop to process meats for local butchers to send to northern camps.

Over the years we have expanded multiple times to include not only a Calahoo Meats line of meat and deli items but also to include
produce, dairy, dry goods and paper products.

Today, Calahoo Meats is still owned and operated by the Berube family, with 3 generations currently involved with the meat shops day to day activities. Still located on
the original homestead where the Berube started to farm  in 1931.

Calahoo Meats continues to process our own line of products included but not limited to Burgers, ground beef, sausages, deli meats, Bell Hams, etc.
